Conan O’Brien Speaking at Google [VIDEO]

Here is a great video you should watch, make you LOL and then some.

For the social media play – check this out. Conan did not have a twitter account until a few months ago.

As he’ll state in the video, because of 140 characters and 1 tweet he sent out to his followers, he was able to sell out his entire live comedy tour WITHOUT ADVERTISING.

And ya…. his fame and the fact that millions follow him helped, but imagine sending 1 tweet and then selling out of all your products with no money to spend on any advertising!

So, I like Conan’s dry humor, enjoy the video, watch it all the way through.

Google’s goal of controlling and dominating the search world has stirred some new controversy with a new tool they have on their toolbar, called a Sidewiki.

1. Allows users to make comments on anything they see on the web, whether it’s your websites or someone elses in a sidebar comment tool that Google controls.
2. Allows Google to spider these comments in the Sidewiki and show them as SERP’s, that link to THIER links, not yours in the search results pages. (see examples below)
3. Allows anyone to spam the heck outa the sidewiki until someone notices it and then reports abuse.
4. Allows people to knock your brand or products without you controlling the content.
5. Allows people to steer people off your site to THEIR site, by using sly comments to entice readers to go elsewhere to get a similar product or "better" product.

Make $1 per follower with all your social media marketing says Perry Belcher

Perry Belcher, the social media marketing guru, says you can make $1 per follower per month with all your social media connections.

Many people don’t think this is possible since they are not able to monetize the 1000′s of followers they currently have now.

But Perry is making, in some months, MORE than $100,000 with his large social media list with over 100,000 followers on Twitter.

Pay any attention to the way the new influencers work… it’s not big media controling the news so much any more….it’s us…

The Bloggers, ustreamers, twitters, facebookers, youtubers, myspacers… all of us are taking over… and reporting in real time "what we are doing" to the world and giving people totally transparent access or at least "pseudo transparency" into our lives and business!

People are reporting how long the lines are at Shake Shack.

People are reporting on rude customer service or bad service in general on their twitter, blogs and facebook accounts.

In a recent story on the woes of travel and how bloggers shook up the corporate status quo, it was reported:

"Blogging has a sense of authority and authenticity that other media doesn’t have," says Rebecca Goldberg, a hotel design expert and editor-in-chief of Boutique Design magazine.
