July 27th, 2009 | Comments Off |

In this 5th video of the 11 part series on using cool addons for your firefox browser, I talked about a great tool called SEO Quake.

SEO Quake is similar to SEO for Firefox, but unlike SEO for Firefox, it actually has a plugin bar that sits up top in your browser area.

It also enhances with "quick view" by gathering information, as needed about websites, just off of a google search.

Watch the video as I show you it’s best features and benefits.

To get the SEO Quake addon go to their website here.

One of my favorite add-ons for my Firefox browser is the SEO For Firefox research tool.

You can download the SEO for Firefox add-on here.

You can do lots of background searches while on certain pages.

You can also get a good ‘birds eye view’ of websites in the Google Search Results pages which shows you page rank, WHOIS data, links from Yahoo and other bookmarking sites!

Firefox Video 1 of 11: How to Add Twitter into Your Google Search Results

Well, first of all, you should be using firefox as your browser, and to do that, you’ll need to install it and run it.

So, download Firefox now if you are not using it…

Mark Carey came up with a simple solution using Firefox and greasemonkey that will change the way you use and interact with Google.

His Add-on allows for 5 of the most recent results to show up at the top of the search area.

Called "Realtime Twitter Search Results on Google," the service is actually a Greasemonkey script. Don’t be intimidated: Carey explains on his blog how anyone running Firefox can add the script to their browser with less than 5 clicks of the mouse. (See our short video on learning how to use Greasemonkey in under 5 minutes, too.)

11 Firefox Plugins to Enhance your Search Experience

July 22nd, 2009 | Comments Off |

Over the last year, I migrated over from IE 7 to Firefox.

I had to… IE simply stopped loading stuff fast and I was frustrated so I downloaded Firefox and I’ve been hooked ever since.

What I like about it is how customizable it is, plus fast too.

I also like how I can use it for search engine research, keyword research and cleaner organization of open windows (I color code my open windows and it helps me, plus looks cool too!)

So, for the next 11 days, I’ll be releasing short little video tutorials that explain how I was able to trick out my firefox browser and create a customized user experience.

The next video will be:

How to Search Twitter Conversations and have them show up in your Google Search Results with Firefox.
