Jeff Mills Diet Day 1 [video]

July 10th, 2010

So I’ve got 1 day down now for my diet.

I am reminded about that famous quote about football, being a game of INCHES… so it is like a diet too. With 90 days of this, each day is like an inch. It can seem like forever but each day brings me closer to my goal.

So I am posting this at the start of day 2, and first thing in the morning. I woke up today, totally feeling hungry and with a little bit of a headache. They say, I’ll feel this way for about the first week as my body goes through a detox process and gets used to the fact that I am not feeding it Burger King Bacon Double Cheeseburgers.

The only hard thing to me… which is lame I know… is the clean up, cooking, etc… that I have to prepare for some of the meals. I am not used to doing a lot of that kinda stuff, since either La Rae would make a meal or I’d run through the local drive through 2-4 times a week for a “quick meal”.

But, let’s analyze my old way of thinking for a sec…

I’d be hungry and say to myself – I am hungry, but it’ll take too long to make a meal, I’ll get some fast food! So then I’d get into my car and drive 10 minutes to a local Fast Food place and then eat the meal in the 10 minute drive back to my house. Total time wasted – 20 minutes. And we call that fast food. I could have stayed home and made a meal in 10-15 mins. So I am learning again and I’ll remind all of this all the time – I am changing the way I LIVE and THINK and ACT.

I am getting rid of old habits in exchange for better ones.
