We’re not there yet, but getting closer

Yesterday, I posted about Eileen Butler and her family’s plight about to lose their home.

I asked if my blog members and emailing list would help by doing three things.

1. Donate Money

2. Run promotions to their lists and donating the money made in from clickbank products from Monday-Friday to the Butlers.

3. Promote this story in your blogs and in the social media.

I want to thank all of your for helping out, but ask that many of you do more.

So far, there has been $70 donated.

So, my goal of raising $10,000 is pretty short so far, but… I am not giving up.

What you need to do, is get the story out.

Post it to your blogs. Share it on Twitter, Facebook, Myspace, Linkedin, Digg, Propeller, and Stumbleupon. Use all means out there available to get the message about this family in need.

It’s time to put your money where your mouse is.

On Christmas day, I reported the story of one down on their luck family that I read about from CNN. I posted it here.

In response to that post, I met Eileen Butler.

She made some comments at the end of the CNN story on my blog and I said, “I’ll help you”.

I know enough people out there to be able to make her long term problems go away for a while and help her get back to normal.

On Christmas eve, I went to church and the message was about Paying it Forward.

It was about being the change that you always want to see in others and just doing the things for people that you would want to see others do for you.

Plugins not compatible with wordpress 2.7

I just had my tech install the new wordpress 2.7 files, and he found there are many incompatabilities on many of the plugins I am using.

So, until they update their plugins to work with 2.7, you may want to wait. I was told these plugins are not working:

Who Is Jeff Mills Redux

I’ve been enthralled and wowed by this new video making tool, www.animoto.com and been up late at night playing with it’s wonderful functions.

Animoto mixes pictures and music together and creates a nice mash, in minutes. It’s free to use and you can embed the video on your website, blog, myspace, facebook page, and basically anywhere one can put an html tag.

So, I just made an Animoto video for the upcoming Canada Marketing Summit, in the post below, and I also just made a new video for the landing page on my www.WhoisJeffMills.com page as well.

One thing is… I cannot get this rad song outa my head that I put in the mix. It’s kind of a U2 Meets the Cult meets the Grapes of Wrath (Canadian Rock Band from the 90′s) song, that just makes me FEEL GOOD listening to it. It’s by a band called Pure Dream Ladder and the song is “One More Day.”
