Unpark your Old Domains and Put them to Use!

August 10th, 2008

Man, I was going through my godaddy acct today and I only have 178 domain names… icon smile Unpark your Old Domains and Put them to Use!

But I noticed like 45 of them were dormant.

Are you like me? You get a good idea for a site, and then rush to buy the domain, which "locks" you in for when the idea will become a reality?

Life sets in… and that old domain name sits… parked… promoting GODADDY and other things you have NOTHING to do with.

Some else gets inspired and gets the SAME idea as you, types in the domain name they want and it goes to your DOMAIN! AWESOME… Or… Not so awesome… cause your domain is only PARKED as a place holder for your old idea, sitting there… doing nothing and not making you money.

So, what I did today was go through many of my domains and I pointed them SOMEWHERE… seriously, how much traffic have I lost to godaddy or other outbound links from Godaddy to some other page at my own expense?

So here is what you can do with old parked domains just occupying space:

  • Point them to a capture page
  • Point them to your main blog
  • Point them to your coaching program
  • Point them to your free DVD or CD program
  • Point them to an Adsense Page
  • Point them to an affiliate off page

Don't let your old parked domain names go to waste and give godaddy or your domain hosting provider publicity when you paid for it to go to you!
