One of the great benefits of working from home is I can pretty much do what I want during the daytime, unlike those with jobs who are locked into having to stay a work.

Today, I went to Minnehaha Falls, and did some video filming with my friend Henry, then went to my daughter Izzy's school for a talent show which was taking place at 1 pm.

There were about 14 kids performing from grades Kindergarten through 6th grade. She was one of 2 kindergarteners to perform amongst alll her peers (400 people in the room).

Now, here are some things you need to know about Izzy.

• She is very shy
• She never does anything "big" in front of people
• She came up with the idea to sing a song for her school talent show
• She said she was not nervous at all!

Her mom and I were surprised, but agreed if she practiced everyday.

So, Izzy practiced every day for two weeks, and her mom, helped her and, so, here is Izzy's big performance that made us all proud. She did a great job. You might need to lean in and listen closely as the mic was not on too loud.

I have been a faithful user of AWEBER since I started list building back in 2004. They have been very good to me!

They even have my testimonial on their site, which has given me some good traffic over the years.

They just added a new optin box, which is called the “Lightbox”.

Its an unblockable popup that you can set to fade into a page and black out the page, while highlighting the optin box in the center of the page. So… it acts like a squeeze page on your main sales page, without having to make a landing/squeeze page.

You can also pop or slide the box in to create more effects to be noticed. Play with it some and track to see which lightbox system gives you the most optins. Will it be the Fade, Slide or Pop?

You can also time the pop so it’s not the first thing people see… add a 20 delay, after they read, if they feel you are worth getting their email from, then they just my have “bought you” and want to subsribe to your stuff.

It’s easy to close if you don’t want to optin too, just hit the ‘close’ button and it goes away.

But upon a page refresh or leaving the site and coming back, you’ll see the optin box again. You can also set the popup to only show up once per vistor, visit, or in a certain amount of days, I suppose it puts a cookie on there to not show up until you tell it, like in 4 days or so.

As with anything new to your site, test this type of popup. On Aweber’s blog, people were saying that some lightbox decreased signups while others increased. So do track to make it effective and make sure you save the old version of your page incase you decide to remove it and take it out.

The optin box is 100% HTML too so you can put stuff in there make it look interesting. You can control the size of the optin box if you wanted to… and MAKE IT LOOK LIKE A REAL SQUEEZE PAGE. Try that as a test, might make for interesting conversion eh?

I recommend if you want to try the lightbox, you surf to Aweber’s website and create an account right and test out their great autoresponder tool.
