What are your summer Travel Plans?

Guess what? Summer is a few weeks away. This is big time family travel and vacation time. I can help you save a ton of money on your next vacation, depending on where you are going, and how you like to travel. My favorite ways to vacation are to stay in fully furnished condos and villas.

Here is a little run down from Frommer’s on what this beautiful resort offers.

The beachside Velas Vallarta is an excellent choice for families. Each suite offers a full-size, fully equipped kitchen, ample living and dining areas, separate bedroom or bedrooms, and a large balcony with seating.

Following a complete makeover in 2003, the suites are now decorated in a sophisticated, modern design featuring jewel-tone colors, Huichol art and Mexican textiles, feather beds with goose down comforters, texturized wall coverings, new 27-inch flatscreen TVs, modern kitchen appliances, and teak wood furniture on balconies and terraces. Special extras include a pillow menu and luxury bathroom amenities. This property is part hotel, part full-ownership condominiums, which means each suite is the size of a residential unit.

The suites all have partial ocean views; they face a central area where three freeform swimming pools, complete with bridges and waterfalls, meander through tropical gardens. A full range of services means you’d never need to leave the place if you don’t want to. The Marina Vallarta Golf Club is across the street, and special packages are available for Velas guests. Guests may pay an extra fee for the Gold Crown All-Inclusive option, which is one of the most premium all-inclusive programs in Mexico.

Facilities: 2 restaurants; poolside snack bar; lobby bar; 3 pools; golf privileges at Marina Vallarta Golf Club; 3 lighted tennis courts; fitness center w/spa and massage; beach w/watersports equipment rental; bicycle rentals; activities program for children and adults; concierge; travel agency; car rental; salon; room service; laundry service; minimarket; deli.
