Entrepreneurs or Wanna-Be’s?
(0) Comments So Far... What do you think? April 25, 2007Perry Marshall sent this out the other day, thought it was true. Which one are you?
Twelve differences between those who dream and those who act:
1-Wanna-be’s obsess about ideas. Entrepreneurs obsess about implementation.
2-Wanna-be’s want more web traffic. Enrepreneurs focus on sales conversion.
3-Wanna-be’s focus on positive thinking. Entrepreneurs plan for multiple contingencies.
4-Wanna-be’s want to get on TV and get “famous.” Entrepreneurs build their list.
5-Wanna-be’s seek a perfect plan. Entrepreneurs execute and adjust the plan later.
6-Wanna-be’s wait for their lucky break. Entrepreneurs engineer four, five, six plans and execute them in tandem, wagering that at least one plan will get traction.
7-Wanna-be’s fear looking stupid in front of their friends. Entrepreneurs willingly risk making fools of themselves, knowing that long-term success is a good trade for short-term loss of dignity.
8-Wanna-be’s shield their precious ideas from harsh reality, postponing the verdict of success or failure until ’someday.’ Entrepreneurs expose their ideas to cold reality as soon as reasonably possible.
9-Wanna-be’s put off practicing basketball until they’ve got Air Jordans. Entrepreneurs practice barefoot behind the garage.
10-Wanna-be’s believe what they’re told, believe their own assumptions. Entrepreneurs do original research and determine what paths have been already trod.
11-Wanna-be’s believe they can do anything. Entrepreneurs do what they’re gifted for and delegate the rest.
12-Wanna-be’s think about the world in terms of COULD and SHOULD. Entrepreneurs think in terms of IS and CAN BE.
So what are you? Do you have a business or a hobby? Are you an entrpreneur or a arm chair quarterback entrepreneur, calling the shots from your easy chair, but failing to get in the game and off the bench?
If you want a proven, successful, long term, high income generating business, look up what Coastal Vacations Club can do for you. I love to travel and make money, maybe you are like me? Stop playing in kindergarten opportunities, and step up where the real entrepreneurs play.

A Simple Test - Gone Good
(1) Comments So Far... What do you think? April 5, 2007On April 1 I made some big changes to a couple of pages with my travel business.
Instead of just asking for Name and email in the opt in box, I added a phone #. Would my optin’s increase or decrease because of the extra box? Would people leave my site and go elsewhere? Would they leave the phone # blank or put junk in there? I was scared at what would happen.
But surprise me, in the last 5 days over 34 people have put their phone #’s in the boxes and surprisingly, almost all of them are good numbers too. Wow, if I would have bought home business opportunity seeker leads, I would have paid at least $5.50 per lead and those leads would have cost me over $165 to buy.
Now I have totally customized leads, perfect for the home bases business leader, and I can call them, introduce myself or do a voicebroadcast introduction.
I cannot believe I never added the phone # box in 3 years on my optins. Well, now I have it and you should do a test to see if adding a phone # box on your forms will get you a better lead too?
Oh… one more thing I also began doing… I have my autoresponder send me a notice of every optin, the moment they fill out the form, so now my leads are also REAL TIME, steaming hot, just been born, and those again, are the best leads to own, exlusive to me, locked into my Autoresponder System and now getting robotic calls and emails from me, soon to join me in business.
Set your business up this way, you’ll make more money.

Google Launches New Website Optimizer
(1) Comments So Far... What do you think? April 4, 2007If you love all the tools Google has made over the years, then you’ll love this next one.
It’s called Google Website Optimizer
With it, one can test and discover what types of designs and words lead to the most conversions on an action, like optin or purchase.
You can track downloads, video views, and many other types of on page actions too. If you have not learned yet, your online METRICS are extremely important. And if you don’t know how many or who is or what it is, making people click, making people buy…you need to try to figure it out, most people don’t even know you can track this type of stuff, it’s pure gold if you do and can see the patterns and the ways people do what they do. This tool will help you.
The new Website Optimizer is dedicated to converting visitors into customers and improving Web pages, according to Tony Leung, product manager, Google. The tool allows advertisers to receive up to 10,000 versions of a Web page.
“This tool lets you have one page, add a few Java scripts and then when visitors hit the page, there are different combinations served,” Leung said.
Most Web sites, Leung said, are designed in the dark in terms of the kinds of landing pages that work most effectively.
“We were trying to solve a problem about which types of landing pages work,” he said.
They are saying this is one of the biggest product launches from Google since Awords.
Here is some text from their page on the benefits:
Boost conversions and save time
Website Optimizer, Google’s free multivariate testing application, helps online marketers increase visitor conversion rates and overall visitor satisfaction by continually testing different combinations of site content (text and images). Rather than sitting in a room and arguing over what will work better, you can save time and eliminate the guesswork by simply letting your visitors tell you what works best.
Free multivariate testing
Website Optimizer is a self-service application designed to give marketers full control over testing. Not only does Website Optimizer - integrated into AdWords - test messages on all site traffic (not just AdWords traffic), but it also works alongside Google Analytics and all third party site analytics packages.
Now there are many products out there, doing this type of work now… but they all cost money.
GOOGLE IS FREE!
You can watch some sample demos or pull down a quick start guide to get you going.
Plus, you can view a sample report too and some case studies.
Won’t be long now, til some Guru marketer, comes up with some product to sell you on how to use this tool, like many did trying to teach people how to optimize PPC campaigns. So, if you want a new niche, study everything you can about page optimization, learn what works best, and then SELL info on how to maximize returns and actions measuring with Google’s new Website Optimizer.
