Marketing Survey Results Revealed - Plus Special offer for Midwest Super Conference

(2) Comments So Far... What do you think? March 28, 2007

Over the past few weeks, I did two separate surveys to my list regarding their preferences and abilities when it comes to online marketing and attending marketing events.

I was greatful for their feedback and the results reall surprised me.

Before I get into the 2 different survey details, let me just put in a quick promo to go to: www.midwestsuperconference.com now, and get one of the last remaining DVD sets of my super successful online marketing conference, which I did in the fall.

SURVEY RESULTS

The first survey I want to talk about is one I did last week regarding people attending live internet marketing conferences. Right now, there are like 12 conferences happening all over the world, and people are spending a fortune to get there. Here is what my list told me.

1. “What is the Best Price for 3 Full Days of Internet Marketing Training with Full Service Meals, VIP Networking and Personal Development?”

1. $500-$1000 - (54.8%)

2. $1000-$2000 - (30.6%)

3. $2000-$5000 - (8.9%)

4. $5000-$10,000 - (5.6%)

What do the results tell us?

Well, I wonder first of all, if people just gravitate to the lowest price choice and chose that? I am sure, if I would have put a lower catagory, $0-$500 that would have won hands down.

But basically people told me $500-$1000 is the magic price point for attending live events, but $1000-$2000 per ticket had a big following too. So I am seeing the magic price points for what people are willing to pay for events is around $0-$2000 really, when it comes down to it. And that goes along with what my Seminar Mentoring group has been teaching me.

In case you wondered, with all the conferences happening right now, there are many over $2000, some as high as $5000, and I have my new “seminar in a box DVD’s” priced LOW! You can pick up a set for $347 at www.midwestsuperconference.com, and you don’t have to leave your house, rent a car and sleep in an uncomfortable lumpy hotel bed.

The next question I asked was:

“Where should I have the Event? Which Would You LIKE to Attend MOST?”

The two choices were at a meeting space in the Mall of America, here in Minnesota or at a traditional hotel convention room.

These results shocked me too, and here is what people told me.

Mall of America: 38.9% of the votes

Hotel Meeting room: 61.1% of the votes

Very interesting, I was hoping the novelty of the Mall of America would be attractive, and it was to some extend, but people would rather go to a hotel meeting space rather than a big gigantic mall. I am glad I asked first and did not just “book the Mall”. It just goes to show you how important it is to ASK using great software like the AskDatabase.

My results could be a little skewed too, if many who voted already live in Minnesota, and go to the mall all the time, it would not be a big deal to them.

But I don’t think that would change the stats by much, so the hotel meeting room is the winner.

I was talking to Dave Lakhani on the phone a week ago and asked him if the MOA would be a great hook, he said, “no” and he was right! Thanks Dave!

What I will be doing therefore, for the next Midwest Super Conference is hosting it at a hotel, NEAR the Mall, so people can jump on a shuttle and do a 5 minute ride over, if they want to check it out. The Mall is a fun place to check out. It gets more traffic than Disneyland does in one year.

The final question I asked was:

What Speaker or Topics would you like?

Being that this was an open ended question, we had answers all across the board.

What was shocking to me, is that there were many random people mentioned but the most popular people suggested were NOT internet marketers. The most popular speakers were those who do motivational speaking for people in network marketing business, like Dani Johnson, Todd Falcone. Maybe those are on the minds of my readers the most, and the bigger internet marketing teachers are not very well known?

Also it tells me my list is more the Home Based Business type, rather than Internet Marketing Type.

But don’t get me wrong, many strong cases were made for some pretty good internet gurus, which I can now call and say… “My list wanted to hear you speak!”

There is alot of places I could go in my head to see what my line up for the next event should be, maybe a mix of these types of motivational business building experts and a mix of internet marketers… Will we all get along or will it be like mixing oil and water?

I think there is a strong possibility we could do a little of both. We’ll see who says “YES!” to speak at this next year’s event.

Thanks to everyone taking the survey, for those who did, they got a $50 off coupon to use to buy my seminar DVD’s. If you want to get a $50 off discount too, just take the quick survey, and go through this link:

Survey Results #2 “Internet Maketing Technology”

My friend and marketing guru, Henry Griner put together a survey to see how new or old people are to the concepts of growing successful businesses online with technology.

Here are the results.

Quick numbers: Skill Level

Newbies          83.7%

Intermediate     11.6%

Advanced          4.7%

Time online business

Less than 6 months     58.1%

6-12 months               16.3%

12-24 months             16.3%

over 2 years                 9.3%

These are are great results for learning about your own list and from the stats here, most of my list are new people, just getting started.

They don’t want advanced stuff, cause they don’t even know the terms or the systems yet. They don’t quite understand autoresponders, talking websites and videos on websites yet.

So, they need more time to digest stuff and grasp it. What amazes me is how long these members have been online for.

I got online in 1994! wowwy, that’s like 100 years in dog years!

I know a lot, have seen a lot and from my vantage point, I can overwhelm people thinking they have the same knowledge and understandings like I do. Do you do that to you list too?

Well based on this approach, I am seeing a big need to offer beginner courses, and resources to help people out, in bite sized nuggets that won’t overwhelm them anymore.

So, watch for some new products from me, priced very low, which you can get for quick and easy marketing digestion, that won’t leave you left in the dust and wondering…. “so… I gotta spend 10 hours trying to figure out what you just said, and then another 10 hours to make it work for me?”

I think the DVD’s of my conference would be very beneficial to my list, as they take people through 13 concepts in about a 90 minute session, each speaker presents their expertise and then shows you step by step on how to take their knowledge and apply it to your situation.

It’s called accelerated learning through specialized knowledge.

Do you want to learn the slow, painful way, which is “trying to figure it out yourself?”

Or…..

Would you like to learn much faster and easier with a Coach or Mentor?

The DVD’s are your ticket and they are almost gone, so stop procrastinating, and get the DVD’s now before they are gone. Procrastination will never make you money, it only makes you lose your dreams. Don’t let that happen to you.

Watch over 20 video testimonials on my site of people who thought it was the absolutely best Internet Marketing Conference on the planet Earth.

    Well Jeff,

I think it’s all in the question. If I remember correctly, your survey asked, “What’s the best price?” Simple math, really.

I suppose if you’re looking for a result in that lowest price range, that would be the question to ask.

If you were to have asked, “What would you consider paying for (the seminar)” your replies may have been different. :-)

As far as having some of the big names, I’d love to see Stephen Pierce speak. John Childers as well. Also an informative, successful copywriter would spice up the mix as well.

For what it’s worth, that’s my 2 cents’ worth!
